Appearance: A tall paler man. He walks with a slight hunch, not from a deformity, but because he prefers to not have to stand up straight. He wear a long black coat always open with a dark blue sleeveless shirt underneath. Black slacks are worn usually covering whatever boots he may be wearing. He always has at least three bottles of milk on his side or in his bag at all times. He can always be seen wearing a single bracelet on his right wrist along with what looks like a matching necklace. The necklace pendant is what appears to be a rose with its stem wrapped around a music note. Both the bracelet and necklace are silver.

Biography: Zetsuei T. Cole was born on the island of Asuka. He was raised in an upper middle class family. Up until the age of five he was given anything and everything he needed or asked for. When he reached this age he realized that he wanted to learn to make music. He moved from one instrument to the next easily learning the basics and even starting to master them. From piano to violin to guitar he moved to a new instrument every week. He showed a keen interest in stringed instruments most of all.
As he got older he began to play show after show on the island until he became bored with it. He wanted to go off this island and explore more to find more instruments to master. He wanted to find the most unique instrument in the world. He said farewell to his parents and set off on a transport ship. Right before he left his mother gave him her necklace and bracelet that she had been given by her mother. The necklace was silver with the pendant being a rose with its stem wrapped around a music note.
A few days into the voyage the ship was attacked maliciously by a pirate vessel. After his ship raised the white flag they were immediately boarded. The remaining survivors, including Zetsuei, were bound and knelt before the opposing captain. The captain inspected each of the survivors asking them questions about their positions on the ship and executing them if he did not find them interesting. He turned to Zetsuei and asked him his position. He replied the crew's musician. The captain seemed interested in this and remarked that his own crew did not have a musician since he killed the last one for being "boring." The captain introduced himself as Captain Bashiro and offered Zetsuei the position. In order to save his life, Zetsuei had no choice but to take this offer.
For the next few months Zetsuei was the musician for the Captain and crew, entertaining them every night. Surprisingly, Zetsuei began to get enjoyment out of it. He was experiencing a new form of music. Tough he was enjoying his new life, he was still a captive and wanted to escape.
After one particular raid the crew had done, Zetsuei noticed a particularly interesting chest sitting in the hold. He waited until most of the crew was drunk or asleep to slip in and investigate further. When he opened it he couldn't believe his eyes. It was a piece of fruit. He wondered why a fruit deserved its own chest, but decided it had to be important for some reason. A few nights later he began his usual entertainment, but his last song he made sure was a very soothing lullaby. With most of the crew now asleep he quickly made his way around the galley, grabbing food and anything he thought was valuable. He then went to the hold, deposited his food and things into the chest along with the fruit. He carried the chest out onto the deck throwing it into a lifeboat, he then used it to escape the ship.
Since he was not very skilled on the seas, Zetsuei had no idea which direction to go. He floated for days and days going wherever the current took him, eating the provisions he brought with him until finally, he ran out. He knew he wanted to save the fruit. He knew it was valuable for some reason, but he was dying of starvation. A few days more and he had made the decision. He opened the chest and began to feast on the fruit. He gagged at the terrible taste but finished it all.
Several days later, starving and dehydrated, Zetsuei finally washed up on the shores of Arabasta. He was found by a young boy who helped him back to his home. After being fed and nursed back to health, Zetsuei began to walk the town, happy to be free of his bonds.He began to look around the island for another instrument he could use to continue his trade. But, sadly, he had no money to afford one. One day sitting outside disheartened once again by his lack of money, and in extension, his lack of instrument he began to think about his greatest desire again. To own the most unique instrument in the world. While daydreaming he began to snap his fingers just to try and make some sort of music. A few times after doing this he noticed a string on his finger. He pulled at it think it was simply a piece of lint. But, when he tugged on it he noticed it got longer and was inside his finger. Confused, he began to pull it further and further noticing that it wasn't really stopping. Intrigued by this, he began to focus on it. After practicing this for awhile he realized he could bring the string in and pull it back out.
After a few days of practicing, Zetsuei began to get control of his new found power. One day, after an especially long day of practicing, he got an idea. He pulled out his strings and plucked them realizing they made a very unique and beautiful sound. Zetsuei smiled with excitement and satisfaction. He had found the most unique instrument in the world. It was himself.
That day, Zetsuei made a decision for himself. Since he enjoyed the playing styles he could do on a ship, he decided to find a crew to join. A pirate crew. One he was an equal on. One he could be proud to be a part of.
