The swordsman in front of him was putting on a bit of a theatrical show. To much pomp in his opinion. While he was talking, before it was even asked of him, Maxwell had already drawn out his cutlass in his right hand and his pistol on his left. It was obvious who this man was, it was also obvious that he was blind. If Maxwell didn't know any better, he would underestimate him...Something just said to stay on his toes.

Maxwell never intended to answer the swordsman's question and pointed his pistol right for the man's chest during his speech. As soon as he was about to pull the trigger, cannon balls hit the pier. It would be a perfect cover for his shot, but Maxwell decided to wait it out and see what the commotion was. As soon the smoke and debris cleared, it seemed that Arthur D. Shaw came with the wind. Landing beside him, Maxwell smirked and replied to him.

"Indeed, it has been a while...What is it, twelve years now? As for the trouble, it has yet to even start."

With the arrival of a second Admiral, Maxwell's breathing became deeper and heavier, his heart rate quickening, his adrenaline pumping. This was great...There was only one thing that could possibly make things better and as if the gods themselves heard the thought, mist came rolling in. The doctor was in...

Maxwell couldn't stand it anymore! Everything was perfect! Maxwell let out a loud and maniacal laughter for all to be heard. Maxwell pointed the tip of his cutlass straight at the blind swordsman with a devilish smile smeared across his face.

"You two dogs had best pray! You two need to show us your best or you'll regret it because we three will not show any mercy, for THAT is how we pirates fight! "

Akito took a deep breath and got to his feet. He jumped into his dingy, and pulled out his Bat Blade. Hopping back onto the dock, he walked off of the dock, and onto the one where Maxwell was standing. His Bat Blade's handle was in his right had, and he held it up on his shoulder. His left hand was jammed into his jean pocket. "Hey, Max!" He called over. "I'm pretty sure you three", he motioned to Maxwell and the two other emperors with his left hand, "can take these guys. But," Akito continued talking, "Might I lend a hand? I'm itching for a fight, and I haven't tasting fresh blood in a long time." He licked his lips, anticipating the taste of the admirals' blood.

EPIC BATTLE! Empty
PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptyThu May 13, 2010 1:43 pm

An ignorant Admiral simply stood there without much of a knowledge on the other two newcomers popping into the fray... no, now make it three, with the inclusion of a voice that he recognizes, but simply can't place his thumb unto it. Though much earlier, there were numerous interferences that he noted. Annoying one of a fat old bastard whom Saigo sees as arrogant to be precise, showing a veneer of vanity and such a display of unfound confidence with a base that one would not be able to find. Announcing his presence amidst cannonballs that could not a presence but the inanimate to hit, in this case, whizzing far away from the admiral as it would form dust in the air that intermixed with the already threatening atmosphere with Killing Intent already known all around the battlefield.

Such things weren't concerning, yet the sudden wind had made certain that Saigo now knew of this presence's ability, sensing the currents as he braced for the wind's currents. His legs spreading apart as he withstood the full brunt of the gust without much harm on his part or even enough force to throw the Admiral off his feet. The gust weak in this Admiral's eyes as the Admiral himself noticed a rather presumptuous voice coming from Maxwell's side. A rather unfamiliar voice that he does not recognize, possibly that interloper in the battle. A reckless one at that, juvenile perhaps? Maybe, maybe not. Oh this'll be fun. One has given away his position all too easily.

Though around that time, he unsheathed Niku, grasping it from his other hand, a much better suited blade. Sliding it out of it's sheathe as it would make the rather satisfying 'RISP' to which results from the blade. Whipping Niku to the side to flare out a wall of fire at the fool Emperor, Arthur. Pacing towards the town inwards as he would feel the moisture of the air increase, making sure to use the distraction of the wall of fire emitted by Niku to his advantage, also noting the higher density from the sensation of it's moist thickness than actually seeing it, as everything to his eyes are a blur. His suspicions of a newer presence proven correct as a loud clashing against the bank. Though a cackling maniacal laughter had also revealed the presence of the interloper. The mist itself hadn't enveloped the Admiral as intended originally, as he would move more inwards into the land, using the opportunity that obscured Maxwell's view to pace into the town with buildings standing as obstacles between him and the Emperors, lengthening his pace to long and fast strolls so as not to be completely enveloped by the accursed mist, getting out of it's reach, stabbing Shaku's length into the ground halfway within the entrance at the corner of the town, sizzles and smoke coming out. Yanking out the blade as he would grasp it by hand alongside the other.

"One... Two... Three. First is but an imbecile whose bark is worse than his bites. Second? Second could be a second imbecile. Third is partly unknown, perhaps famed? Confidence suggests so. All accompanied by ants, mere meagre ants in the presence of giants." He thought. "Perhaps things will be fun after all."

There was no fear in Saigo's heart, no anxiety or anticipation but a rather curious setting. Curious as to how things will turn out as he would pace past a building and unto the town's vicinity. Tightening his grip on both his swords, noting two are Emperors are amongst them whilst the third is a possible Emperor.

"Bingo." He murmered softly.

Shaw's pupilless eyes were drawn to an unnatural could of mist quickly approaching their position, an eerie chill accompanying it the entire time. Arthur could only watch as the vapors surrounded The Western Wind before moving on. The human cyclone had a good idea who the man responsible for all this drama was but had to admit the chances of running into him of all people were slim to none. As if fate decided to slap him in the face, the mastermind behind the unearthly fog appeared, it was none other than the Doctor himself, the last of the Three Emperors. Shaw silently cursed at the sight of the old man, his displeasure barely contained behind a mask of stoicism. Pulling the brim of his fedora down once more, more out of habit than anything else, Arthur channeled a small air current around himself. The breeze was tightly contained, only large enough to disperse the mist around Shaw himself while leaving the rest of the Doctor's cloud intact.

"Well now, it would seem that we have a bit of a reunion on our hands now. Though I must say the odds of all of us appearing here, in the East Blue no less, are quite slim." Shaw rotated his head cracking his neck. "Oh and Nickelgeist...just because you're unable to hold onto a crew of your own does not entitle you to attempt your scare tactics against mine." Arthur sent the older Emperor a cold stare despite being aware that the Doctor most likely couldn't see it.

His warning delivered, Arthur refocused his attention on the second of the Admirals. The arrogent indifference in the man's voice had already begun to grate on Shaw admitedly short temper. Well I suppose someone has to start things off. Shaw considered as he grasped his oar tightly. With a deft flick of his wrist, Arthur swiped the wooden blade through the air, channeling his Wusha Wusha powers along it's edge. Magnified by the edged weapon, a crescent shaped blade of wind sliced through the empty space seperating the Admiral and Emperor howling for blood and intent on severing the Marine at the waist.

EPIC BATTLE! Empty
PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptyFri May 14, 2010 2:34 am

Tut. Tut. His captain had agreed they'd rendezvous around here in this place. But now, here in the infamous Loguetown, a scuffle was going on ... and he wasn't invited for the fun? While the common pirates and people ran from the sight of the Emperors and an admiral going out at it ... he approached the battle. His zweihander in hand, already stained with blood, as he mercilessly hacked the running fools of pirates, commenting on their bad clothing choice, poor hygiene, and absurd methods of running.

"Bloody ... scampering ... DOLTS!" he spat out, each word emphasized with the high scream of agony as his blade dug its way into the victims. A twisted smile materialized as his killings continued, until one pitiful fool of a pirate actually bore a weapon against HIM! The pirate here intended to make use of some cheap cutlass ... and lunged forward with it, wanting to pierce Met. The aesthete merely lazily snapped his blade across, with it's edge slamming into the cutlass's and snapping the sword into two ... after all, with his blade of Vaporu steel against the cheap iron blade of the fool, there was no contest and question about the result. And given the length of his own sword, the ugly one had been split in two as well.

But soon he was venturing near the place from which all these people were fleeing from, and halted his slaying to grab ahold of another common being by the throat, applying a wee bit of pressure that was forcing the individual to gasp and gag a bit.

"Tell me. Just what's going on?" he asked with a devilish smile, a mad light in his eyes reflected the insanity within. ... Needless to say, a hasty response was given, and a slight frown was returned. Admirals ... here? Time to improvise. He noted that he was a considerable distance away, at least ... such that he wouldn't be expecting close-range combat ... but close enough for him to see an unusual amount of fog about the place. Oh, and people ... around the fog cloud ... and ... a large fog collective where the shore is ... blegh, he didn't have too much time. No doubt, they were all enjoying fighting each other.

Well, to hell with them enjoying it! He selected a building to his right, and with his Zweihander, hacked away at it with the monstrous strength that enabled him to wield this weapon like a small stick and earn a large enough bounty for property destruction. With clever diagonal gashes imprinted away, a fairly large portion of a building came sliding down ... slowly. The omnipresent grin faded momentarily as Metethias stepped back, so as not to be beneath the building's eventual trajectory. He peered back at the showdown ahead of him ... a considerable distance away, and spied a marine(maybe one of the admirals?) walk out of the fog, and stealthily shuffling about and around the fog.

Krack, went the building as its top portion slid off and gravity took its course. SMACK went the blade and powerful arms backing it up to send the large piece of stone flying ... in the general area of that person and the fog. Just a little welcoming gift before he took the fight seriously.

EPIC BATTLE! Empty
PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptySat May 15, 2010 3:26 am

The weaker pirates around him were like little bugs heading towards a flicker light that just brought them to their death. In this case the flame was the emperor’s, himself, and the other Admiral that had already engaged in battle when Aden had gotten here. In the distance a fog bank became ever present and swept towards them with the tenacity of a hungry lioness. Aden mumbled something to himself as his thoughts went to his limited knowledge base that pertained to the third and final emperor. “It …. couldn’t be” Aden said under his breath with amazement. His pupils got larger as he contemplated the sheer improbability that five of the world’s strongest people, in fact probably the five strongest people now were here…

… In Loguetown the place where the king of the pirates was born raise, and executed. It was the place where all pirates derived the majority of their hope, but it was also a place that was meant to stop pirates from even reaching the grand line. Captain Smoker had kept the place clear of pirates for a long time apprehending every pirate that set foot in his town until Monkey D. Loofy set foot here. This wasn’t the time to go over history though all of these things happened before Aden was born, even more before he was able to make a difference. Lately, this pinnacle and vertex of the pirates spectrum had been the apex that Gol D. Roger wanted it to become.

The fog now completely encased Aden’s body, and he did not take kindly to the zero visibility it lent towards him. Aden was reminded for a moment about the comforts of the sea the moisture comforting all of Aden’s body. Aden’s day dreamy bubble was popped by the sound of someone, Aden’s guess was the third emperor a --man named the doctor--, yelling about having guests. Pissed off and dehydrated Aden decided he was tired of being mocked by this man and his god damn moisture. Aden took a long deep breath and turned the outside layer of his skin into the species of vine that he enjoyed the most, and then he began the process of osmosis and absorbed the extra thick layer of humidity around him.

There was still fog about him and the others in the skirmish, but it was considerably less around him compared to the other admiral; who’s column of fog was giving off the familiar sound of a blade being unsheathed. Aden seemed to recall that the man already had his blade un-sheathed. ‘Two sword style eh? I hope that he really has practiced with it.’ Aden thought to himself as he unsheathed his own blade letting it reflect what little bit of the sun, which pierced the dense fog, back at him. There was a large crash towards the inside of town, drawing Aden’s immediate attention to the site of a falling building. Aden figured that the destruction was likely the work of a member of one of the three emperors’ crews. Likely Maxwell’s given that Arthur’s looked to be very weak, and that third if he was indeed an emperor just showed up so that ruled him out.

Aden listened to their battle cries talking about each other and threatening him and the other marine whom he was sure was an Admiral now. Aden glanced back in the direction of the man who he had followed here after looking over the other two. Aden had always been a lucky man after his accident and it worked like a charm again. Aden had looked to Shaw just in time to see the fog around him moving out of the way of what seemed to be a blade cutting, but there was no blade. None the less this invisible blade was heading right towards Aden’s lower abdomen and waist. Aden had to act quickly, so he transformed that section of his body into vines. Then he proceeded to curve that section out his body to the point where it protruded far past the translucent cutting edge’s tip.

“Oh who ever brought the fog I must thank you it was like a cool glass of water for every cell in my body, talk about refreshing. It has been so long since my whole body as gotten moisture all at the same time.” Aden mentioned in a matter of fact way that complemented the smirk plastered on Aden face.

EPIC BATTLE! Empty
PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptySat May 15, 2010 2:12 pm

”Maxwell… you make assumptions, you pompous ass…” With the qualities of an undead spectre, The One Dead Emperor materialized out of the mist directly behind the youngest Emperor. The mist surrounded the two, obscuring everyone’s vision of the contact. Nikelgeist hated the upstart. This first meeting between the two would only fuel is loathing. The man’s pride and vanity infuriated the old–timer. ”… but… it would s-s-seem that there is actually a pompous Admiral who’s hubris overshadows yours… and I want him. I want to end him, I want to pour seawater into his lungs and set it to boil, I want to fill his corpse full of water and parade the dead Marine’s body around Loguetown.” The Doctor was blind outside his mist, but within it his sight was nigh perfect. He witnessed the others’ eyes scan the mist some in a knowing manner and others were terrified. But the Admiral, his eyes didn’t move. It was Saigo, the blind right hand of a vengeful World Government.

”He’s running Maxwell… chase him… he is yours. But…” With these last words he cackled and rose his voice to a feverish pitch that echoed around town, and mist cascaded from his mouth ”… If he steps a foot within my domain, if he even breathes my miasma… I’ll swallow him whole…” As smoothly as he materialized, Doctor Nikelgeist faded into the obfuscating mist. As he did so, the fog opened up into the town, tracing the blind Admiral’s path as Nikelgeist had sensed it. From beyond the veil, the undead doctor spoke, ”Get ‘im…”

Nikelgeist turned his attention the his “comrade” and the other Marine. ‘Arthur D. Shaw…’ The Doctor has had his run ins with this Emperor, but his contempt for Shaw was not near that of his contempt for Maxwell. But the Emperor’s words brought the hatred damned close. ”Your crew…? All I saw were children… frightened of the boogeyman.” Nikelgeist skittered through the mist… the sound of metal dragging behind him. The mist around everyone seemed to dissapate to a level where Doctor Nikelgeist could see and still allow the others vision. This comes with the exception of the fog around the Doctor and the Phasma ex Machina, of course.

”Maybe… I should use my scare tactics against you…” A loud hissing escaped the mist along with a burst of steam. The mad mechanism Nikelgeist dragged behind him jittered and shook violently as it dug into the ground. This situation was not good for the old man’s heart as he shook as violently as the Saw Zaw mk. II, but the cause of his shaking was rage and not steam. ”… but… let’s take care of our… guest… no… not a guest… you’re… you’re…” The outline of the second Admiral changed as he covered himself in vines. Before long, the outline became fuzzy and distorted as the cells absorbed the water. ”You’re a damned weed…”

With this insult, Nikelgeist turned down the temperature… a flash freeze of the moisture in the air surrounding Aden Williams. The Doctor didn’t expect the thin ice that began to form to harm the Admiral, only to pain him and maybe slightly “suffocate” his plant parts. With his actual attack he would maim… no, he would trim this weed.

With grand celerity, Doctor Nikelgeist burst from the thick fog, screaming like a ghoul, with the Saw Zaw mk. II behind him. But as quickly as he appeared from the mist, he slipped into another miniature fog bank that formed between him and the Admiral. All the screaming stopped… he was trying to disorientate the Admiral. To make him paranoid of the surrounding fog…

A pause followed, and then the next attack. Was this one a feint, too? Doctor Nikelgeist exploded from his mist and this time the steam-powered saw, the Saw Zaw mk. II, lead the way like a spear point. But this was another feint, before the blade contacted Aden’s "flesh", the mad doctor leapt and formed ice under foot before leaping again high above the Admiral. With the power of steam, rage, and gravity, the steam-powered blade plunged down and was swung in an arc. With all the feints and false steps, Doctor Nikelgeist hoped to have struck enough paranoia to give him the edge in reaction time. He wanted to sever the weed in two with one strike.

OCC: Sorry, but this is going to be short. I'm just not in the mood.

Responding to The Doctor after his little proposal. "You know you need me Doc. If I die, you're screwed. So let's just make this easy and love one another for a bit? Hell, I'm already half way there."

Hearing feet running off in the distance and seeing two swords shine slightly through the mist, Maxwell was already zooming towards the swordsman before the mist even cleared. The fact that it did clear only confirmed his assumption on who he was chasing.

Maxwell was going to catch up with the swordsman regardless considering that he was already going twenty miles and hour and rising. The thing that concerned him was if he was going to stop him before he could do what he wanted.

Maxwell say debris being slung towards the swordsman and was ready to dodge it any moment. Maxwell knew something was up and didn't hesitate to swing his sword after seeing what the swordsman did to avoid the debris, sending his Ruby Arch towards the lower half of the swordsman. Considering that the attack was nothing but light and didn't omit any sound or heat, the swordsman shouldn't see it coming at all.

PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptyTue May 18, 2010 11:50 pm

A loud bang rung out in the middle of all the commotion and a bullet hits the ground near the feet of Maxwell as if to get his attention. Mirisido is sitting on the mast of a ship near by, looking through his scope at the action. He looks from each person taking in who they are. He then suddenly tells out:

"Well! Don't tell me you forgot about me! This doesn't seem as hard as I was told to expect. These folks should make good target practice."

He starts to snicker to himself as he looks about some more. He doesn't quite understand who most of the people are but understands that his captain is there and that means he should work without mistake. He starts to feel around his pockets for his EXPO bullets. He knows that these people shouldn't be taken lightly and that a quick end, at least in his mind, would be the best course to take in this situation.

He finds exactly what he is looking for but isn't as content as one would think of finding it. He notices he only has one left.

"Damn, and here I thought a few quick shots and it would be over, guess I'll just have to make this one count."

He loads the single EXPO shot in Monasuke Shuuryou and aims directly at the swordsman Maxwell is attacking in case he needs the extra backup of an explosion.

Akito chuckled quietly. Things were getting interesting. He lifted his right shoulder slightly before letting it fall again, putting his Bat Blade into a more comfortable position. Well, this is interesting. He thought, grinning. He was then aware of the piece of building that flew towards the fog. Then a man stepped out of the fog and addressed Maxwell. Hmm... Doctor Nikelgeist... Akito observed, watching the Doctor talk, and Maxwell respond. Then the Doctor started attack one of the Admirals. Rushing into things aren't we? He thought, longing to say it out loud, but he restrained himself.

Instead, Akito hefted his Bat Blade off his shoulder and flipped it in his hand so he was holding it with only his right hand, the sharp edge point downwards. "Now... who to fight first?" He wondered out loud, but quietly. He smiled, a hint of cruelty in his mouth, while compairing his two swords weight for no reason at all. Akito then scanned the scenario, and took a few steps back. Now then... firstly I need a plan... He thought, his mind carefully devising one.

PostSubject: Re: EPIC BATTLE!   EPIC BATTLE! EmptyWed May 19, 2010 5:11 pm

Mirisido looks about, trying to make sure that he can hit what he aims at. His eyes become sore from trying to focus through a fog. He checks the wind then tries to aim directly at Admiral Aden Williams. He remembered the stories he heard about him using plants to fight and what better a target for a round that burns. He adjusts his scope to focus on the Admiral's chest but the fog keeps getting in the way.

"Why the hell would anyone use fog to fight? I mean seriously? I can't get an accurate shot if I can't see the target."

He keeps grumbling to himself before he realizes that his rounds do, in fact, explode. He takes aim at the dark outline Aden made in the fog between him and Mirisido. He chooses to yell out in the hopes someone would help out:

"Will someone get rid of that fog? I Need a clear shot!"

He notices that with all the commotion, anyone who could hear him would more than likely ignore him as a gnat in their ear. He lets out a great big sigh and pulls the trigger in hopes that the dark outline of the Admiral was in fact his exact location. He knows that as long as he hits in his close vicinity that he could at least burn him, which might be enough for the other pirates to take him down. The round flies from the golden snake head with great speed towards the fog. Before he could grab another round to place in the rifle the EXPO round had pierced the fog and all Mirisido heard was an explosion. He wasn't sure if he had hit his target in the exact spot or not. But even a minor burn could be devastation, or at least weakening, to the famed Admiral.

(OOC: CONNECTION OF HIT. Anywho, because Arthur ignored an attack, I will call a hit on him, though as I am merciful, I'll be leaving him alive but knocked out.)

So many things were happening at so many a times. It was quite an easy thing to confuse the Admiral Saigo to be rather blind when in reality, he was simply just almost blind, but not blind itself. Though all actions done so by the Emperors and their colleagues were quite laughably foolish at most and misdirected. Where to start as to what had went wrong? Firstly, Saigo had paced into a building to which the fog behind him he had noted was sliced in half by the extremely rapid air current, to which whom he associates with none other than the Emperor... Arthur. It had absolutely missed the Admiral to which where he was meant to be, meant to be enveloped in a fog that had never clouded him. The bladed air simply separating two ends of mists from one another as it had past the Admiral in the town, giving Saigo such an indication of Arthur's powers. Alas, the Emperor had fallen from the wall of fire attack, the air shot out had only caused a tear at the wall of fire at one segment, a small insignificant segment in comparison to the rest. Though the fire had consumed Arthur, leaving his face scarred by 1st degree burns, whilst the rest of his body in a mixture of 2nd and 3rd degrees, the Emperor was knocked out of the field of battle as the mist did little to dampen Saigo's powers. It was the mist that had complicated the battlefield and made it so in the favour of the Marines than the Pirates.

Coincidentally, a large debris coming at Saigo coincided with some ruby'd arch heading towards his lower half of the body. A static after-image of the Admiral was left in place of his, with a figure grimacing on top of the debris sent originally to flatten him, now serving his purpose instead, his legs endowing him with the strength to launch himself in the direction of the Zweihander wielder before the debris would hit any surfaces. Leaping away from the assorted chunk of debris as the Emperor's Ruby Arch was shot towards him a little bit too late, hitting not him but the static afterimage left behind, though Saigo was coincidentally not aware of the attack, it was the debris he was dodging.

Though in place, Saigo had managed to perform a very unusual feat, his figure phasing out of existence in mid-air, leaving an after-image as well that is best defined as static just as he was about to lash out Niku against Metethias's face from a distance that was having a gap between the two closed, appearing in another distinct location which is to say behind the Zweihander wielder from two more static after-images to the enemy's side, now farther than the Doctor's mists than ever and even farther from his reach whilst maintaining a standing on the building. The blurry vision of everything helped him maintain a threshold in the air without hopelessly plummeting into any buildings. As he still had sight but it was quite weak, absolutely weak, only a little fraction of his senses. Saigo's sword, Niku, thrusting forth towards Metethias, specifically towards the spine whilst the secondary sword served as Saigo's parry role, keeping it at a downwards stance.

EPIC BATTLE! Empty

Did he care? No, as much as he appreciated beauty and the wondrous sites he saw with his own two bright orbs, he long accepted the fact that the sensory purposes that they were supposed to fulfill was unachievable at this point and time. Which meant, he didn't accept all that he saw with his eyes. The appearance of the one he attempted to smush with the large piece of debris was rather disheartening ... although, it was amusing to the see the man in mid-air ... had he evaded and used the preemptive strike as a stepping stone for his next att-

"No ... wait ... why's he just jumping up?" was the split-second moment of doubt as he spied his enemy, his gaze aimed upwards, unaware of his surroundings ... supposedly. His eyes darted, immediately to one of his sides, spying the images of the admiral, blade at the re-

There was another one, but these sights did not do much to his mind ... his mind from within reacted, a chill in his body and his mind feeling small jolts of ... well, it wasn't terror, or fear, or anything like that, he had long squashed those emotions to enjoy the thrill of the fight. And after all, there was a reason why he earned his bounty ... and it was NOT from mere property damage. His eerie leer now was facing towards the Admiral, who was intending to plunge his sword into his spine. His own body that he long trained to be flexible and graceful was already twisting, with much resistance to the turn. But the resistance being only temporarily, and his lithe body finally reached its average potential ... even with that heavy blade.

-Quake-

His blade would probably have a slight hum to it, but that didn't matter. His teeth showed, glinting somewhat in a maniacal smile, the Zweihander in his left hand came into the the path of the primary blade his samurai opponent ... and judging that his turn had been a varying spin, along with the fact that his reaction wasn't dead on matched ... he was going to be capable of repelling the primary blade, with a loud clang as he felt his feet apply pressure into the ground ... though for different reasons than one could think. If possible his grinned widened from the ensured impact of his blade with his enemy's ... which would mean that the Quake was successful, but the effects wouldn't show until later. Anyhow, his feet had been ready for this, while his body had been responding to this sudden attack ... by pushing him back.

While he'd love to have a nice duel between this sword-wielding admiral, the little bit of a voice in his head told him to back up a little bit ... after all, it would be hard to swing a Zweihander at such a range, especially since he needed to adjust his grip, even if only slightly.

So, what was accomplished? The blade that should have stricken his back, and probably his spine, had been repelled ... and the Quake laced in his blade would transfer into the Admiral, but now he was adding in a bit of distance(not a large amount), not out of fear, out of want to be able to fight with his weapon properly ... either way, this admiral intrigued him .. he was capable of creating after-images?

"Hah! Looks like this'll be fun after all!" he cheerily whistled aloud, blade being passed to his right hand. And his eyes, while focused, paid no attention to whatever form of man stood before him ... especially give the course of the fight so far.

Severing the weed cleanly was Nikelgeist's original intention, but it failed. Aden's vine and plant characteristics redirected the blade of the Saw Zaw Mk. II. Instead of a nice clean cut, it created jagged wound, as his body fought to change to vine, the blood mixed disgustingly with sap and the stick substance halted the saw inside his thigh.

The mad doctor's feint's had worked nicely, but his cut wasn't true so a swift quick kick soon followed. Freeing his weapon from Aden's body wasn't too difficult and Nikelgeist and the kick sent the nearly split Admiral to the ground.

Doctor Nikelgeist stood above the reeling Marine and pulled his telescopic cane from a coat pocket. The deceptive weapon exploded into full length, steam made the thin fog there thick. Obscenely sharp, the point of the cane impaled the Admiral in the ribs and pinned him to the ground. Exhaling deeply, the mad doctor obscured his own face with steam as he shook with rage.

(( Aden's out of it, but not dead. Until he makes a reappearance we will skip him in the posting order. This should have been done weeks ago, I'm sorry. Maxwell, go. ))

Maxwell grew tired of this fight and decided he should do what pirates do best: Run. Maxwell turned tail and yelled for his first mate.

"You had better get on the boat fast, cause I'm not going to wait for you long!"

Maxwell again used his shoes and zoomed back towards the docks and along the way picked up Shaw.

(Got Max's permission to do this, since the topic is not going anywhere.)

Saigo had somehow disappeared from sight, as if though in the middle of his battle with the Zweihander wielding nutty, like a ghost, only left an after-image. It was a good enough reason to retreat now that an admiral is down.

Appearing near Aden's position, he sheathed his sword with haste, kneeling down to pick up his fellow admiral amidst the fog, and in a moment's notice, left another after-image. Essentially disappearing out of sight once more, and in fact, now fully absent from the rather boisterous fogs of Nikelgeist, an opponent that seemed most intriguing. Saigo's whereabouts, unknown. Unscathed and all.

His lasts words were, "Splendid job on your part, Nikelgeist, taking down an admiral in a simple manner, I will look forward again to a next meeting like this."
